The RDR Support Proposition
Provides a complete training support service for clients who require financial advisers to become diploma qualified and RDR compliant. Equally applicable to large and small firms and individual advisers who wish to accentuate their likelihood of success to pass examinations and assignments “at first time of asking.”

Benefits
- We cover the curriculum offered by all accredited awarding bodies, particularly the CII and IFS subjects. This means that we can support whatever route to qualification a learner chooses and from whatever starting point
- Subject induction days are available to get study off to a great start. These significantly enhance the learner’s awareness of the demands of the subject and greatly improve the likelihood of first time success
- We offer a range of exam preparation options, typically 1 and 2 day workshops or a 4 day crash course option per subject. This approach ensures that all student learning needs are catered for and that clients can manage budgets effectively; opting for the most appropriate options to match the differing individual needs of their learning population
- Complete training support for the full diploma journey, including on-line tutoring - enabling a fast, successful achievement of the total qualification
- A unique approach to CPD, providing a gap analysis and training programme for existing qualified advisers leading to the achievement of the required ‘top up’ and supportive evidence
- We focus on turning learning into business profit - a key benefit and a DSW Academy differentiator
- Our RDR training is set in the wider context of FSA requirements to ensure that knowledge, understanding and compliance goes beyond passing exams; moreover the enhanced knowledge manifests in demonstrably better business results and consumer outcomes

More information
Starting with the option of helping learners select the most suitable diploma route, we go on to provide all the training and support needed throughout the entire RDR journey, so that learners become fully qualified as soon as possible. The Academy has a refreshingly different approach in that we also help our clients capitalise on all the new found knowledge by turning learning into profit. We are a one stop shop for all RDR needs and deliver hundreds of training days every quarter.
The DSW Academy RDR Support Proposition is segmented into three key phases covering the learning journey involved in achieving the diploma qualification.

- Phase 1 – Consultation: Collaborating with clients to cement common understanding of RDR requirements; Diploma route selection; Academic assessment to assess the support levels needed
- Phase 2 – Pre exam: Study preparation; induction and exam revision
- Phase 3 – Post exam: Business application and evaluation
These distinct phases advise clients of the support options available and enable them to make informed decisions regarding the levels of support required – some or all of the phases, dependent upon needs. Training provision and support services can be provided at client firms’ premises, via our open course programmes run at our Training Centre in Doncaster or in regional training centres throughout the UK.

Calendar of Workshops
We offer a calendar of workshops and courses which are offered on a demand led basis.
These come in the form of a number of options:
- 1 day induction events to get learning off to a great start
- 1 day exam revision workshops for those who feel they are almost ready but want to be sure
- 2 day exam revision workshops for those who feel they need an extra final focus on key subjects and critical examination questions and techniques
- 4 day crash courses for those who have just not had the time to study or who prefer to learn in a single concentrated period facilitated by a highly experienced subject expert
- Bespoke arrangements to suit
Each of these can be available for the subjects comprising the diploma offerings from the CII and IFS, including the CII - Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (RO subjects) and the IFS Diploma for Financial Advisers (with the financial services, regulation and ethics unit).

We also provide a purpose designed 2 day workshop and programme of support for those needing relevant CPD to bring past qualifications up to date.
