More information
The New Entrant Apprenticeship Scheme is your solution to finding the ‘new blood’ experts of the future. With our help, you can access a constant flow of qualified adviser talent equipped with the knowledge and skills to make an immediate contribution to your business. You’ll benefit from enhanced profitability whilst mitigating the risk of dependency on the current ever-decreasing pool of suitably qualified advisers.

We have two separate schemes: one for financial advisers; and one for debt advisers. Training support is provided towards the achievement of relevant professional qualifications. In addition the new entrant’s line manager is supplied with an individually designed complete suite of management activities for the duration of the apprenticeship. Together these take the new adviser from entry through to qualification and initial competence. Working with you to inform the content, we ensure an approach totally fit for purpose.

We offer one and two year apprenticeship programmes influenced by the extent of previous experience gained by the new entrant. These well organised programmes involve the new entrant attending our DSW Academy training centre in Doncaster (or regional centres throughout the UK) for two days per month for qualification training.

The programmes totally align with the Financial Services Sector Skills Council qualification frameworks and the National Occupational Standards for job roles.

The cost per person covers all tuition, line management support, programme documentation and on-line testing prior to examinations.

Government funding is sometimes available to help facilitate this apprenticeship approach. We help point you in the right direction to take advantage of funding opportunities for your region.
