The IF9 module is relevant to anyone working for an insurance company, broker or reinsurer and who has a direct or indirect interest in the role of an underwriter. The qualification can be undertaken by apprentices, new or experienced employees.
These include understanding:
• How to fulfil customer requirements and the importance of customer feedback
• The importance of good communication to build relationships and deal with conflict
• Management of own workload and working with others to meet business objectives
• The sales process
• The main regulatory and legal requirements applicable in the insurance business
The IF9 module is optional for the CII level 3 Certificate in Insurance. It is suitable for those working directly in a customer service role or for those who wish to gain a further understanding of customer service to support their own role. It provides a more detailed understanding of customer service within the insurance environment and how good levels of service can improve both sales and customer satisfaction. The teaching provided will equip a learner to both pass the IF9 exam and to apply the knowledge gained in their daily working role.
