The M80 module is relevant to anyone working for an insurance company, broker or re insurer and who wishes to achieve a professional qualification and designation. The qualifications can be undertaken by apprentices, new or experienced employees.
These include understanding the influence of the regulatory and commercial environments on underwriting, how statistical data is used in underwriting, alongside the principles and practice of risk pricing and the risk exposure and control.
The M80 module is optional for the CII level 4 Diploma in Insurance, a qualification which is often regarded as a benchmark of professionalism. The course will work through the CII syllabus, ensuring that the learners are both able to understand the knowledge and be able to apply this to their job role and be prepared to take the relevant exam. Whilst all areas will be covered in the workshops, focus will be given to the areas of the key aspects of claims handling, property claims and third-party liability claims.
