The M92 module is relevant to anyone working for an insurance company, broker or reinsurer and who wishes to achieve a professional qualification and designation. The qualifications can be undertaken by apprentices, new or experienced employees.
These include understanding the structure of the insurance industry, the management of insurance businesses, corporate governance, accounting principles and practices and their application.
The use of financial ratios and understanding the financial strength of insurance companies will also be covered.
The course will work through the CII syllabus, ensuring that the
learners are both able to understand the knowledge and be able to
apply this to their job role and be prepared to take the CII exam.
Whilst all areas will be covered in the workshops, focus will be given
to the areas of accountancy, ratios and the financial strength of
insurers as these are the areas in which a taught approach and the
working of examples can add the most value for a learner.
