"When we began this journey three years ago, it was our mission to be the End Point Assessment Organisation of choice for Financial Services employers." - Tim Hattersley, Apprenticeship Director
DSW has been approved by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to be an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for 3 new Standards at Level 6 and above.
The EPAO has now gained approval to assess the Senior Investment / Commercial Banking, Senior Insurance Professional and Financial Services Professional Standards. It is currently the only EPAO approved to assess these Standards.
These are the first Level 6 and Level 7 Standards gained by DSW. The applications were accepted by the ESFA with no further feedback and multiple areas scored as 'outstanding'.
26 Standards and counting
The latest additions take the total number of Standards the organisation is able to assess to 26. It also maintains its status as the EPAO able to assess the greatest number of Financial Services Standards.
DSW is currently working with more than 100 employers and the country's leading Training Providers, Colleges and Universities to provide EPA for thousands of Apprentices.
As the only EPAO which was not an awarding body when it joined the Register of End Point Assessment Organisations early last year, DSW is now one of the largest EPA providers in the country.
This is due to the fact that the organisation has an excellent reputation in the Financial Services sector as a Learning and Development partner, with a heritage of providing quality-assured Trainers and Assessors who possess specific skills and work history to FTSE 100 companies and major banks.
Although recent reports have highlighted a scarcity of Assessors in the EPA sector, DSW has a healthy supply available for the Standards it has been approved to assess and is growing its capacity daily.
EPAO of choice
The approval to assess these 3 new Standards comes after a series of significant contract wins and high-profile employers have selected DSW as their preferred EPAO.
Speaking of the organisation's recent success, Apprenticeship Director, Tim Hattersley, said: "I am delighted we have been approved to assess these three Standards, taking our total to 26.
"When we began this journey three years ago, it was our mission to be the End Point Assessment Organisation of choice for Financial Services employers.
"I think we are well on our way to achieving this and I am exceptionally proud of the team here for believing in that vision and working hard to deliver an EPA service which is of the highest standard."
