We are pleased to announce that Jake Tween has been appointed to the role of Head of Apprenticeships and will succeed Tim Hattersley following his retirement on 21 December 2018.
Jake has more than 13 years' sector experience in quality assurance, qualification and assessment design and Apprenticeship development, gained through senior positions within some of the industry's leading assessment organisations including: City & Guilds, NCFE and ILM.
Having worked with employers, training providers and schools in the FE sector for the last decade, he has seen it change dramatically, experiencing first-hand how Government policy has affected all involved.
Previously Head of Apprenticeships at ILM, he has had the opportunity to support and engage with colleges, universities, employers and training providers and is a passionate advocate for technical and vocational education.
He said of his appointment: "I'm delighted to join DSW during this exciting time for Apprenticeships.
"I'm impressed by the dedication, ambition and integrity shown by the team here.
