Last week, the DSW team managed to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on one of the hottest days of the year. The weather averaged around 30 degrees during their 26-mile hike, with the highest peak sitting at 2,415 feet, burning over 7,500 calories, walking 65,000 steps each and raising over £800 for the Marie Curie charity.
Some of the team have personal reasons which have led them to take up this challenge, some of the team just love getting out in nature, raising money for charity and testing their limits. All members of the team trained hard, which was essential, because all agreed afterwards that it was one of the most difficult challenges they have ever taken on.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience which tested their endurance, determination and resilience. The views up and down the peaks were stunning, which helped them to push on over the line. Completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge was a very proud and happy moment for the DSW team. We appreciate every penny we received as we know it will be put to good use by Marie Curie.
DSW would like to thank you again for your donations and support.
